Grey baseball pants, red La Trobe baseball playing top, red belt and La Trobe cap. The club can help you get these and the Uniform page gives you an indication of costs.
If you are new to baseball, some loose clothing such as tracksuit pants and T-shirt are fine to start with. The club has some spare fielding gloves that you can borrow while you get a feel for the game.
Baseball boots (with cleats or studs are recommended) as the ground can be slippery at times. The club may have some spare items you can try. Otherwise check your local sports store for baseball boots (or other grassed based footwear).
Baseball fielding glove. Again the club may have some spares. The club will supply other equipment like bats and helmets.
Round one is scheduled for the weekend of April 23rd. Mixed teams play on Saturday and the womens team on Sunday.
The season runs from mid April to September. Depending on the grade, there are 15 to 17 scheduled games plus finals. Usually there are no games on the Queen’s Birthday weekend and the lower grades may not have a game scheduled in the middle weekend of school holidays.
